The Live Bottom is designed to meter material at a fixed or variable rate when fed by a hopper or bin resulting in a flooded and choke loaded inlet. Multiple parallel screws accurately and efficiently meter and convey your bulk material.
Use of the live bottom allows material to be fed across the entire inlet area. Additionally, to prevent bridging and the rat-hole effect, the use of flights with gradually increasing pitch towards the discharge end allows more material to enter each progressively larger flight area. This results in material being uniformly drawn from the hopper or bin.
